Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in a Full Service Interior Design?

Here at Wool, we are not design-build, meaning our clients have individual contracts with the contractor of their choosing. We have contractors we love to work with, but are happy communicating with and project managing with any contractor and/or architect. We meet our clients' needs where they are, from new buildings from the ground up, to sprucing up an existing room. We do, however, do our own drawings and renderings that compliment any additional plans that may be needed for a project.

Do you offer free consultations?

Our initial consultation is one hour and $175, during which we walk the space, get to know our client and the project itself, and get started on the design, answering questions in real-time as well. From there we build our design proposal and get started!

How do I keep track of my budget?

We are happy to help our clients manage their budgets and the many moving components of a remodel. From project management to spreadsheet creation.

How long will the design process take?

The timeline from the initial consultation to the design proposal presentation is project-dependent, but we always try to have a quick turnaround for our clients.

I have never worked with an interior design firm before, what is the process?

We begin with a one-hour initial consultation, followed by the creation and presentation of our design proposal. From there we make tweaks when necessary and make sure everything is in line with the design vision and our client’s budget. From there we manage the project and the various tradespeople, handle all ordering, install, and style the final design. We allow our clients to choose how much or little involvement they want and need from us.

What areas do you serve and where are you located?

We are located in Sacramento, California and we take clients all over the country.

During the remodeling process, what will I have to do?

The level of our involvement is truly up to you. We are happy to take the reins completely and only check-in when we need your input on your design preferences, etc. Or if you have a smaller budget and want to handle project management yourself, we are open to taking a supporting role there. Whatever works to best support our clients.

What happens once the project is complete?

We will do a final installation and style the project to completion. Then we will schedule a time to photograph the project at the client’s convenience.

What if I don’t like what you design for me?

We are happy to make alterations to our design proposal and work with our clients throughout the process to ensure they are happy with the final result. So far so good!

What should I expect from a branding consultant?

Similar to our interior design work, we start with an initial consultation where we learn about your business, your needs, your visions for the future. From there we build our initial proposal, which includes whatever elements are outlined in our contract (each project and business’s needs are different). The individual contracts will note however many revisions or versions are included, but from there we can make any changes and deliver all the design elements needed. We can, again, have as much or as little involvement as is wanted and necessary. We love working with both small and large companies, new and old brands.

Where do I start if I want to build a successful brand?

Honestly, branding is the perfect place to start. Through working on and developing your branding, we are helping you shape your brand identity and vision, which is at the core of everything a company does.

How much does it cost to build a brand?

The price is project-dependent, as every business has different needs.

How picky should I be when getting a logo for my business?

You should look for a logo that feels unique, both in general and uniquely fit for your business. We work hard to provide each client with an entirely original logo design that feels both fresh and timeless.

How long does it take to complete a branding project?

This also depends on what is needed, the timeline is unique for every business. Send us an email and we can answer this question more specifically to your brand.

What type of budget will we need to develop a brand?

We love to work with clients to provide the best outcome for the budget they have, we can guide you through where your money is best spent and where you can take things on yourself when necessary.

What is a virtual design consultation and what does it include?

Our Virtual Design Consultation allows clients, who are perhaps not ready for full-service or are unsure of what their design needs are, to share their space and project, ask questions, and get our expertise and input on initial direction and design. We can get you started and point you toward the best next steps for you. Our live video consultation lasts one hour.

Who should consider a virtual design consultation?

Clients who are perhaps not ready for full-service or are unsure of what their design needs are.

What type of facilities, areas, or establishments do you work on?

We handle both residential and commercial design projects throughout California and beyond.

What is a color consultation?

Choosing the perfect paint color and sheen can be the hardest part of a design project, the variations in white paint alone could drive a person mad. We take the stress out of the process, providing you with our suggestions for the ideal hue to suit your space. Tailored to your brand preference when necessary, our color consultation includes an initial video chat, follow-up questions, and sample cards delivered to you.

How much is a color consultation with Wool Design Studio?

Our color consultation is $350.

Does Wool Design Studio have a warranty or money-back policy?

We do not. All of our policies are outlined in the individual contracts we provide each client.
